The mission of Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception Parish, Milton, Wisconsin is to continue the mission initiated by Jesus 2000 years ago. It is a mission that has three dimensions:
Our mission is to be a community of faith, loyal to the teachings of Jesus and the church he founded. We come to know Jesus by listening to his Word, searching out the truth of his teaching, and modeling our lives on his example. We offer praise and glory to God through our public worship, through our celebration of the sacraments and through our lives of personal prayer.
Our mission is to be one family in God, to be a welcoming and accepting family, to reflect the love that God is to one another. We strive to be a presence, a place, and a challenge to all who come to us. To be sensitive to the needs of all through heartfelt support, while at the same time challenging one another to spiritual and personal growth. We see ourselves as companions on this journey of faith, hope and love. We are one in Christ, each unique in our gifts and talents, given both for our own good and the good of all others. We intend to be dedicated in a special way to the youth and elderly of our community.
Guided by the Spirit, our mission is to serve the cause of justice and peace within our families, within our parish community, within our civic community, and within our world community. As an expression of our mission to serve, we challenge every parish member to become involved in at least one work of service to these communities each year. We strive to be responsible stewards of the gifts we have received by using only what we truly need, and sharing generously with others in need.
